Only the holistic, interlinked perspective enables significant optimizations
Over the last years, the German healthcare system was faced with an unusually high degree of changes. Due to the changed service fees, hospitals to date are under an enormous economic pressure and confronted with growing competition. The hospitals’ budgets, however, will probably decrease in real terms, following the statutory provisions to maintain the contribution rate stable, owing to the inevitable increase in costs that cannot be compensated by expanding the budget.
With this background, we support our customers in developing innovative approaches in order to work economically and to improve medical services. To recognize needs, we use not only the classical economic control instruments, but create transparency by analysing procedures, structures and risks coupled with their economic impacts.
